How to Stay Healthy!

Sometimes when you are traveling, you may start to feel like your coming down with something or possibly experience stomach upset due to the water issues in certain countries!

I recommend you pack a few items that will help you strengthen  your immune system!

My passion and love of learning about health and supplements over the years has driven me to share what I have learned with people who are interested in gaining health through diet, supplements and being proactive.

Here are the items that I never travel without!

  • Rescue Remedy for any anxiety especially for the plane ride if you don’t like to fly.

  • Jarrow Dopholis Probiotics are live bacteria that are good for your health, especially your digestive system. Taken everyday will keep your stomach gut healthy & supports your immune system!

  • ADP Oil of Oregano is an herbal oil in capsule form which is a powerful antimicrobial that can help fight off infections. Oregano oil also has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties which I take daily especially when I travel to countries such as Mexico or the Dominican Republic.

  • Silvercillin Spray is great for that tickle in your throat when you know that your going to come down with something! Very convenient to pack and a few sprays a day for two or three days usually helps me avoid a cold or sore throat before it gets bad.

  • Sunrider Vitashake & Nuplus is a complete meal which is so delicious, nutritious and very convenient. When mixed with water or milk is a whole food with no chemicals, no additives, non-GMO, Gluten-free, Vegetarian. and comes in chocolate and strawberry. One box contains 10 packets and is a great breakfast for the plane ride or anytime your hiking or camping! I don’t leave home without a box or two!

  • And last are few Sunbar’s which are a whole food energy bar. Available in Fruit, Cocoa & Oatmeal-Cinnamon flavors are delicious and a healthy meal replacement!

The Fruit Vitalite Sunbar’s ingredients include:

Apple and Pineapple Juices, Bananas, Strawberries, Almonds, Mangos, Honey, Lycii Fruit Concentrate, Chinese Asparagus Root Concentrate, Coix Fruit Concentrate, non-GMO Soy Bean Oil, Psyllium Seed Powder, Wheat Germ Oil, Tocopherol, Chinese Yam, Fox Nut, Lotus Seed, Lotus Root, Waterlily Bulb and Imperate Root.

Other energy bars usually contain Isolated Soy Protein and Whey Protein, which can be very hard on our digestion.  Other energy bars are not “whole foods”.

You can order any of these items from Amazon found on the right of this blog.

Also, pack a small bag of almonds, walnuts & cranberries in your bag or car avoiding stopping for fast food while out running errands or traveling. Usually a small handful will hold you until you can make a healthier meal choice. Convenience and planning ahead is a must since we are all guilty of making poor decisions when we are hungry.

Finding a happy medium is key with junk food and if I really crave something, I will indulge, but I find the more I avoid the unhealthy foods, the less I crave them. Especially ice cream and chocolate. I can guarantee that the better you eat, the better you will feel and probably visit the doctor less if you focus on building your immune system.

If you would like more information on any of these subjects, please leave me a comment and I will be happy to answer your concerns in any way I can.  Be Well!
